Visteon's Technical Center in Czech Republic Strengthens Global Climate Control Capabilities
In 2004, Visteon opened a climate control technical center in Novy Jicin, Czech Republic, expanding its technical expertise in the European market. Under the name Visteon-Autopal, s.r.o., the legal entity established in 2005, Visteon demonstrated its commitment to providing world-class climate control system solutions to European vehicle manufacturers.
Located adjacent to Visteon's existing Autopal climate control production facility, the 2,000-square-meter (21527.8-square-feet) "innovation center" houses climate control product planning, core development, product design, process engineering, simultaneous engineering and engineering change teams as well as a prototype shop. The center has particular expertise in the areas of fluid transport and heat exchangers. With resources that range from engineers to technicians, the center increases Visteon's ability to meet the need for dynamic climate control solutions for regional and global vehicle manufacturers.
The facility complies to Visteon's highest quality standards in both engineering and production and operates as part of a global network of locations including Visteon's climate control center of excellence in Kerpen, Germany, and Visteon's powertrain and engine cooling technical center in Chelmsford, UK.
