In-Line Vehicle Sequencing
In-Line
Vehicle Sequencing (ILVS) is an automotive cockpit manufacturing
process that brings a variety of build to order assembly combinations
together – exactly in sequence. With this technology, Visteon
can deliver a complete personalized cockpit based on each
individual customer's order, in as little as 90 minutes. And
because module components are pre-manufactured, assembled
and tested, ILVS also results in increased reliability.
Visteon is able to maintain a long track record of successfully delivering "just-in-time" – a process that can supply thousands of different assembly combinations while reducing supply inventory. This type of integrated supply structure that leads to reductions in inventory can help automotive manufacturers significantly reduce the cost of producing vehicles.
As an experienced systems integrator, Visteon is well positioned to collaborate with other suppliers to deliver integrated modules and systems.
Benefits of ILVS:
- Increase reliability.
- Offers efficient manufacturing.
- Reduce warehousing for vehicle manufactures.
- Reduce Tier 2 interfaces for vehicle manufactures.
- Enables personalized vehicle cockpits.
